INGREDIENTS :
For the cake:
- 100g Schmitten chocolate, melted (Can choose the best from the portfolio according to your choice)
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the frosting:
- 100g Schmitten chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm water, vegetable oil, white vinegar,and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the melted Schmitten chocolate until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Bake the cake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
